Kansai Logistics Expo 2025: A Glimpse into the Future of the Logistics Industry

Kansai Logistics Expo 2025: A Glimpse into the Future of the Logistics Industry | IINO san's Logistics News

Yesterday, I attended “Kansai Logistics Expo 2025”, and I’d like to share my firsthand impressions of the event. This expo gave me a clear picture of where the logistics industry is headed.

What is the Kansai Logistics Expo?

You might wonder, “What kind of companies exhibit at a logistics trade show?”
The Kansai Logistics Expo brought together companies focusing on warehouse management, packaging, shipping control, and logistics DX (Digital Transformation).

While freight forwarders like us were among the exhibitors, what stood out was the large presence of companies offering systems and digital tools.
One of the most striking elements was definitely the DX-related solutions on display.

AI and Logistics DX: The Hottest Field Right Now

What really stood out at this year’s event was the range of AI-powered logistics solutions.

Some examples include:

AI-based route optimization tools
Platforms for automating logistics operations
AI chatbots for handling inquiries

Though I’ve been following the DX trend closely, I was still amazed at how far these technologies have come.

Even Small Companies Can Embrace DX

People often ask, “Isn’t IT implementation expensive?” But the reality is quite different.

In our company, we’ve recently started using:

Google Workspace for collaboration
kintone to visualize our operations

With cloud-based tools, even small businesses can effectively implement DX.
Some of the key benefits include:

Smoother information sharing
More efficient document creation and management
Reduced labor costs

The Irreplaceable Value of Human Expertise

At the same time, we should remember that human experience and networks remain irreplaceable.

In the freight forwarding business, for example, we often rely on:

Local regulations depending on the destination (Nagoya, Hakata, Bangkok, etc.)
Customs and procedural differences by product
Connections with trusted partners

No matter how advanced AI becomes, these aspects still require human insight and relationships.

Final Thoughts: There’s No Substitute for Seeing It Yourself

What I truly realized after attending this event is the value of hearing stories on the ground and seeing things with your own eyes.

There’s a lot you simply can’t learn from websites or brochures alone.
To everyone in the logistics field—especially managers or those responsible for system implementation—
I highly recommend visiting the next Kansai Logistics Expo.
It’s a great opportunity to stay ahead of the DX curve and discover tools that can help shape your company’s future.
